Liron Elbaz is a certified bridal coach, and her site - a one-page brand site with a romantic pink-and-gold design - ran on WordPress with Elementor until now. This week we completed its migration to Astro: same design, same content, brand-new code under the hood.
Here’s how it performed on WordPress, moments before the migration, in Google’s PageSpeed test:

On mobile: 70 for performance. Not a disaster, but far from fast - and remember, most visitors arrive on their phones.

On desktop: 93. Nice, but still not full green across every category.
So what’s the score now, after the move to Astro?
No “after” screenshot this time. Want to know what this site scores today? Check it yourselves - it takes a minute:
- Search Google for google speed test
- The first result will be PageSpeed Insights - click it
- Type into the tool’s address field:
https://lironelbaz.com - Click Analyze and wait - the test takes a few seconds
What does Google actually test there?
Google runs two tests - one simulating a mobile device and one simulating a regular computer - and scores the site from 0 to 100 in four categories:
- Performance - how fast the site really loads: when content appears on screen, how quickly the site responds to taps, and how much the page “jumps around” while loading.
- Accessibility - whether the site is usable by people with disabilities: sufficient color contrast, alternative text for images, and screen-reader support. In Israel this is also a legal requirement.
- Best Practices - whether the site follows modern standards: a secure connection, no outdated libraries with known vulnerabilities, no errors behind the scenes.
- SEO - whether the site is built so Google can understand and rank it: proper headings, page descriptions, and mobile friendliness.
A green score (90+) in all four categories means the site is doing its job - for your visitors and for Google.
