GEO
A website built to appear in ChatGPT and Google AI answers
More and more people ask an AI engine instead of searching Google, and get one finished answer without visiting a single site. The question is no longer only where you rank, but whether the engine can read you and quote you at all.
What actually changed
In regular search, Google shows a list of links and the visitor chooses. They land on your site, and you get a chance to convince them.
In an AI engine the user gets one answer. If your business is named in it, you just received a personal recommendation from something the user trusts. If not, you simply do not exist in that conversation, regardless of your Google ranking.
This is called GEO, short for Generative Engine Optimization. It does not replace SEO, it is a layer on top of it, and most of what helps one helps the other.
What we actually do
No magic. These are measurable technical things that go into every site we build:
Structure a machine understands
Marked-up schema (Schema.org) telling the engine who you are, what you sell, where you operate and when you are open. Instead of guessing from free text, the engine gets an explicit answer.
An llms.txt file
A dedicated file pointing AI engines at the important content on the site. A relatively new standard, and we ship it already.
Content in question-and-answer form
AI engines quote passages that answer a question directly. That is why every page and post here ends with real FAQs, marked up in schema as well.
Clean HTML that reads without JavaScript
Some agents do not run JavaScript. A site whose content arrives finished in the HTML is read in full; a site that assembles itself in the browser can look empty.
Speed
An agent crawling thousands of pages does not wait on a slow site. The same speed that serves your visitor serves the agent.
One clear entity across the web
The same name, phone and address everywhere the business appears, linked from the site. That is how an engine knows all those mentions are the same business.
How you know it works
You cannot open ChatGPT and see a "ranking". What you can measure is whether the engine is able to read and operate the site, and Google now has its own score for that called Agentic Browsing, reported next to the PageSpeed scores.
On a store we split recently, that score went from 2 out of 3 to 3 out of 3 after the rebuild. On this very site you can run the test and see the result in real time.
We also check directly which AI agents actually crawl the site, and make sure no protection layer is blocking them by accident. That is a common failure: many sites block AI agents without knowing it.
What we do, and what we do not
Yes
- We build new sites with all of the above baked in from day one
- We migrate an existing site to us and rebuild it this way
- We keep maintaining and improving this layer over time for our subscription clients
No
- We do not take an "AI promotion" retainer on a site we did not build and do not maintain. We have no control over the foundation, so we could not stand behind the result
- We do not promise you will appear in any given engine answer. Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is not telling you the truth
